Her lips quirk into something even more displeased at the prospect of this being something that isn't magic - the end results may be all the same but at least she will feel less out of her depth and less useless if it's something magical which she can understand, even if not counter or fix.

"True," she agrees, reluctantly, "their intentions are the big question. And we aren't going to have answers until we dig deeper and spend more time observing... or they may even show themselves eventually."

She scoffs. "I hate waiting games. At least it will be more pleasant than the last one." Not being hunted by things wanting to eat you alive sure helps.
