Bucky is more than a little shocked when the woman tosses the gloves on the table but he tugs them on all the same. Keeping his hand covered is the best for now; if he reveals the prosthetic, he wants it to be on his own terms. Weakness is always a liability and he's weak enough not knowing the lay of the land and the people who have their fingers on the pulse of this town.

"Thank you," he says, mouth flashing a ghost of a smile before falling back into a much more serious line. "I get too much attention when people can see it and my shirtsleeve wouldn't have hidden it forever.
