I don't think we're in Temeria anymore, Toto!
WHO: Geralt and YOU!
WHEN: 02.07 to 02.12
WHAT: Arrival and getting settled.
WHERE: Gazin/Surrounding areas.
WARNINGS: None, will update if necessary.
All in all, Geralt hadn't felt too much like a fish out of water. The places around Gazin we similar enough to the towns and settlements in his world and as impatient as he is to get out and travel, he also knows without a horse, it's more time-consuming. So, in the meantime, until the Witcher can acquire a horse, he does his best to learn about the new world he's in and keep his head low.
Which isn't always the easiest thing for Geralt to do.
[ Around Town ]
Taking a room at the inn put Geralt down in the tavern at least once a day and typically that was around dusk or in the early morning hours when most people were done eating and drinking. That was when he would study a map that he had swiped from the town hall.
When he wasn't doing that, he was scouting the outskirts of Gazin for any odd jobs. He needs a horse and at least one sword, preferably silver after hearing of some of the creatures that reside in Farsennia.

She’s working on mapping it out, as well. A habit from Rome; and with the developments in her Ceres-given gifts she is intending to work on a three dimensional map as well. There’s a whole new world to learn of. And a freedom that she has missed. She’s gathered what books she can and she’s putting together notes on what she’s learned and overheard so far but...
Currently, though, she’s unable to sleep and has far too much time on her hands. Which is why, as the sun rises, she’s gathering her sword, her bow and quiver of arrows and slipping out of the inn.
Towards Vasari Forest.

Her hard work made her far happier than ruling had.
Geralt always seemed to come when so few people were at the tavern. Given that she popped in before and after work, she always managed to see him when he was alone. This time, he seemed to be pouring over a map, searching for...something.
She moved to next to his table, leaning closer to him. "Have you memorized this town yet?"

It was early and he didn't expect to be running into people even despite knowing that dawn is when every town comes alive.
After some quick fussing of the bread lady, Geralt forces a tight smile before glancing at the arsenal of weapons Cassandra has on her with a raised questioning brow.
"Good morning," he greets in his signature deep and husky voice. It may not sound all too cheerful but Geralt isn't exactly the portrait of happy most days.

"At least the important places," he answers, amber eyes remaining on the map for a moment longer before they are lifted to the young woman's face. "For when I come through it again."
Geralt's words are indeed a bit vague and he suspects more questions but deep down, he doesn't mind. It fills that Jaskier shaped hole that was left by the bard.
Damn him.

"What are the important places?" She hadn't ventured far from the town, wishing to know it better before she fully explored. She'd rather have a horse for that as well, riding as free and wildly across the plains as she had with the Dothraki. Gods, but she longed for her silver.
"Have you found anything outside of this city?"

“Good morning,” she replies. “It seems we had the same idea. Mind a bit of company?” It’s evident in her voice that she won’t be hurt if he decides he’d rather not; she’s quite certain he’s not much of a company person. Neither is she, some days. So she understands. And won’t be offended if he’d rather go wandering alone.
