I don't think we're in Temeria anymore, Toto!

WHO: Geralt and YOU!
WHEN: 02.07 to 02.12
WHAT: Arrival and getting settled.
WHERE: Gazin/Surrounding areas.
WARNINGS: None, will update if necessary.

All in all, Geralt hadn't felt too much like a fish out of water. The places around Gazin we similar enough to the towns and settlements in his world and as impatient as he is to get out and travel, he also knows without a horse, it's more time-consuming. So, in the meantime, until the Witcher can acquire a horse, he does his best to learn about the new world he's in and keep his head low.

Which isn't always the easiest thing for Geralt to do.

[ Around Town ]

Taking a room at the inn put Geralt down in the tavern at least once a day and typically that was around dusk or in the early morning hours when most people were done eating and drinking. That was when he would study a map that he had swiped from the town hall.

When he wasn't doing that, he was scouting the outskirts of Gazin for any odd jobs. He needs a horse and at least one sword, preferably silver after hearing of some of the creatures that reside in Farsennia.

Geralt isn’t the only one who’s taken to this new world they’ve found themselves in. It’s a far cry from where Cassandra had found herself before, and far closer to something familiar. She’s settled in well enough, working on familiarizing herself with the locals and the town; an arrangement with both the apothecary and the herbarium means she won’t be hurting for funds.

She’s working on mapping it out, as well. A habit from Rome; and with the developments in her Ceres-given gifts she is intending to work on a three dimensional map as well. There’s a whole new world to learn of. And a freedom that she has missed. She’s gathered what books she can and she’s putting together notes on what she’s learned and overheard so far but...

Currently, though, she’s unable to sleep and has far too much time on her hands. Which is why, as the sun rises, she’s gathering her sword, her bow and quiver of arrows and slipping out of the inn.

Towards Vasari Forest.

Cassandra watches the antics with the breadcart, the fussing of the breadcart’s owner and insistence that Geralt accept a loaf of bread with a warm, fondly amused smile on her lips, her blue-grey eyes sparkling. And they only grow moreso, as he takes in her bow and sword and raises an eyebrow questioningly.

“Good morning,” she replies. “It seems we had the same idea. Mind a bit of company?” It’s evident in her voice that she won’t be hurt if he decides he’d rather not; she’s quite certain he’s not much of a company person. Neither is she, some days. So she understands. And won’t be offended if he’d rather go wandering alone.
