Life in Gazin has been interesting for Steve since arriving a few weeks prior and he can't seem to find it all amusing that whatever power is in charge of transporting him to all these different alternate worlds and realms in all sorts of different eras of time. If anyone should feel like a yo-yo personified, he'd enthusiastically raise his hand.

When he's not checking in and bugging his best friend, Steve is trying to find ways of passing the time. He can't really say he has much experience in these times, but it looks pretty basic.

Steve is a good guy, all in all, so he offers his assistance whenever he notices someone needs help and he manages to get himself a job helping out on an elderly couple on their farm by cutting wood and fixing things around the several acre lot. He feeds the livestock, which turns out to be the most dangerous job where it comes to dodging the wrath of a black bull he has taken to calling Fury.

At the end of most days, he trudges back to the inn and looks for some decent company in the dining room. He's still unsure of the purpose he has here but Steve is, if anything, a very patient guy.

Archery

One thing Jon figured out long ago was that when he can't make sense of what's in his head, what he needs is something to focus on. He had thought that when he arrived here, he would be able to leave Westeros behind and just enjoy this place for awhile. But Westeros keeps following him here.

Nothing can be done about that. All he can do is attempt to make sense of what's in his head. And today he's finding the necessary focus at the center of an archery target.

He's at the edge of the woods, not too far from town but still far enough out that there's no chance of people getting in the way. He props up the target against a tree and begins to practice a skill he'd let slide since leaving Winterfell. Draw. Focus. Release. Draw. Focus. Release.

Horses

It isn't just Jon who needs exercise. The horses he looks after need it too, and by now he's got a system. One day a week, two or three horses at a time, they get a chance to run. Not entirely free, of course. He rides one and leads the others by the reins, and once they reach the open plains outside the town, they break out into a run and are allowed to be the creatures they were born to be, under Jon's direction. Even Jon enjoys it, sitting on a horse, in the countryside, with no reason for doing it other than that he wants to.

Sam wasn't the biggest fan of winter. Hell for all the propaganda was very cold and Lucifer had always enjoyed making sure Sam knew that during their time together. Still this place seemed to have a picture postcard type of winter that Sam couldn't help feeling sentimental about. He walked along the main road smiling as he watched snowballs fly through the air.  He chuckles when he has to duck a few aimed his way and once he scoops up some snow himself and chucks it gently at one of the kids. Maybe winter could be fun after all. 


Once Sam is worn out from snowy fun he ducks into the inn and finds a table near the back where he can watch the door. Old habits die hair after all. He orders some soup, vegetables and yes pie. He also asks for a warm ale to sip and apologizes for dripping all over the wood floor. He feels the warmth of the food and the atmosphere sink into his bones and he smiles warmly.

Bonfires, Drinks, and Tales

Drinking and merriment is almost second nature to Wuxian and he is easily entertained by the tales and more importantly the alcohol, even sharing tales of his own. Specifically of the the time he and Lan Wangji took down a terrible beast in their youth, waiting for hours before the awful thing had been slain.

"My prize for such a thing? Catching a fever and being sung to by a beautiful man I'm sure you've seen around! You couldn't miss such a beauty with golden eyes and wearing all white!"


Snow Fights

Once he tires of telling tales of triumph and adventure, he takes to the snow with a smile and wicked glee as he lobs snowball after snowball at any unsuspecting targets that may catch this eye. When one connects, there's a childlike cackling from him nearby, where most if not all sincerity of an apology shouted is lost in his fun. Shame is definitely not found here.

Shame for being drenched to the bone from the snow and icy waters is lacking, too, if pulled in and jumping out to go on a snowball throwing rampage at the guilty party.


Hot Springs (CLOSED to Wangji)

Now that he's tired of his fun, and dripping wet from the snow fights and taking a not so willing dip more than once into the frigid waters, he's scurried off to find his husband and drags him to one of those hot springs. The steam is enough to warm him, but he latches himself closely, soaked to the bone, against Wangji as he stares at the water.

"Come join me Lan Zhan! It's better than that cold pond back home!!" Demanding and whining, with a sneeze from being soaked and cold.

She is back again among the familiar forest with some curious crows. She sings as she walks casting calm and peace where she can. She'll need to get back to Gazin without a disturbance, that would be nice. It is cooler, now, and she shivers a little as she walks, her long hair catching the breeze and blazing red gold in the sun as she moves. Her guitar is out and she strums idly, humming as she carefully steps through the under brush. The animals move for her when she asks and don't seem too frightened by her at all. That's probably a good thing, less chance she'll be attacked by something frightened than something calm.


The woods she knows. 

People are, too. She can feel the town as she gets closer, all bustle and emotion. Arha will play in the tavern again, collect some coin. Save it. That's where she goes first to ply her trade. Her voice soaring and soft and a purr all at once. She breaks now and again for water or beer, patron's choice. And clearly loves what she plays.

Sam walked along the street making sure to hunch over so as not to startle anyone. He knows he stands out when he's walking through a crowd and the last thing he wants is to scare anyone. He wanders the road stopping at stalls to look over the goods on display a slight smile on his face. This place was amazing and he couldn't wait to explore more of it.
